Christy Wilhelm
Science
Christy Wilhelm is excited to return to CHAD after doing her student teaching here several years ago. She is working towards a Master in the Science of Instruction from Drexel University and spent last year teaching in the Central Bucks School District but is excited to be back in the city that she loves. Mrs. Wilhelm teaches 9th grade Earth and Space Science and coaches the Pep Squad.
In her former life, before multiple knee surgeries, Ms Wilhelm performed with several traveling children’s theatre companies and taught dance in the tri state area. She has also coached cheerleading and choreographed for many high school and community theatre productions.
Mrs. Wilhelm was married this summer and shares a keen interest in Science with her husband who is a chemist. She spent several years working as a Science interpreter at the Franklin Institute where she exploded hydrogen balloons and demonstrated the characteristics of Liquid Nitrogen on a daily basis.
