Jennifer Szeto

Design

Jennifer Szeto joined the Design Department at CHAD in 2008 and comes with eight years of teaching experience, teaching courses in the traditional Fine Arts, Cultural and Applied Arts, Art & Film, Arts & Humanities and, finally, Art & Design. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Illustration from Syracuse University and her Masters degree in Art Teaching from the University of the Arts. During and between her studies, Ms. Szeto took classes at Central Saint Martin’s School of Art & Design in London, England and the Art Student's League in New York City. In addition to working as an assistant at the esteemed Allan Stone Gallery in NYC, Jennifer has lived in Nanjing, China as a Foreign English teacher at Nanjing University of Science and Technology and has worked locally in Philadelphia with the Clay Studio’s Claymobile project, the Mural Arts Big Picture program and BuildaBridge International.

Ms. Szeto freelances as a caricature artist, illustrator, cartoonist and portrait painter. Most recently, her work was exhibited as part of the Multicultural Initiative Program at the Please Touch Museum. Outside of her work, Jennifer enjoys spending time with family and friends, cooking, music, hiking, and traveling. Ms. Szeto currently resides in Bordentown, New Jersey, where she lives with her husband, baby girl and yellow lab.
