Richard Hwang
Math
Richard Hwang is the first U.S. born member of his family. He was raised in Kansas City, MO and attended Loyola Chicago where he received a B.S. in Physics, and pursued minors in Math and Secondary Education. While in Chicago, Richard taught with CPS (Chicago Public Schools) as a Chicago Teaching Fellow. He finished school at Washington University in St. Louis with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, and worked as a project engineer at Cambridge Engineering.
Richard is very excited to be back in education, and feels it is best for the contributions he wants to make with his life. He teaches 11th grade math, and considers himself extremely fortunate of the opportunity to be at CHAD. In his spare time, Richard enjoys fixing and riding bicycles, awkward situations, buffets, good company, caffeine, and any combinations of the former.
