History

Sarah Rooney earned her Bachelor's of Arts in History from the University of Delaware. While attending Delaware she studied abroad to several Latin American countries including Argentina, Costa Rica, Uruguay, and Brazil. As an undergraduate, Rooney began her coaching career in the Christina School District, coaching womens basketball and softball. She continued to inspire students through athletics as the physical education instructor, basketball coach, and athletic coordinator at a small private school in Ardmore, PA for a year while she attended graduate school at Wilmington University.

Ms. Rooney completed her Master's of Arts in Teaching at Wilmington University in January, 2007 while teaching at a small charter school in the city of Wilmington. Sarah Rooney enjoys reading novels, spending time with her family, and relaxing at the Delaware beaches. She currently resides in North Wilmington with her husband and her one year old son.
