New Tutoring + Learning Center
The CHAD Tutoring Center is located on the 3rd floor in room 304. The Center is designed to augment classroom instruction, enrich students' academic abilities, and accelerate student proficiency by developing and enhancing problem-solving and test- taking skills, giving students the strategies needed to compete and succeed in today's society. Tutoring takes place in small groups - usually operating with one teacher to four or five students. Teachers, counselors, parents/guardians, or the students themselves may request tutoring sessions. Students are evaluated based on test scores and grades as a means of identifying areas to be targeted. Tutoring sessions are held during the school day, after school, and on Saturdays.
We are actively looking for volunteers to help with reading and mathematics tutoring, as our goal is to reduce our tutoring student- to-teacher ratio to 2-to-1. Interested individuals should contact Donna Costello, Director of the Tutoring Center, at 215-351-2900, x 3304, or dcostello@chadmail.us.
