Caitlin Golden

History

History and literacy are Miss Golden’s passions. She has traveled the world as both an exchange student to Arles , France and as a tourist who reads as much about the history and culture of our world as she can get her hands on. Most recently, she stood on the steps of the Acropolis and walked the amazing streets of Pompeii , so she is eager to teach World History to CHAD freshman with a close look at the classical design elements of ancient Greece and Rome that still influence us today.

She is certified in both English and Social Studies and most recently taught in an urban high school in South Central Pennsylvania, where she was also the assistant tennis coach, school leadership team member and Mock Trial advisor. At Millersville University , she was the Marauders’ #1 Tennis player and advanced to the Sweet Sixteen national finals.

Off the court, she serves America ’s youth as a religious education teacher and spends her summers with the national program, Tennis for Kids, as a coach for urban youth. When not in the classroom, on the tennis court, or with her family, she enjoys quietly reading in a comfy chair with her cat on her lap and a hot cup of tea.
