Our 2016 New Year Card displays a student sample from a design-integrated project created by Donna M. Costello, former *CHAD teacher and principal, and led by M. Amy Wischum who teaches 9th grade Algebra I students.
Students employ their understanding of line, slope, axis, and curve learned in the first eight weeks of class. They construct the original design using their newly-learned math skills. Then, they transform their design into a sewn piece of art on black card stock with neon thread. Displayed under a blacklight, the design comes to life!
