Elsie Garcia

Math
Assistant College Advisor

Ms. Garcia graduated from Rutgers University with a B.A in Mathematics. She was the only Hispanic that graduated with a degree in math that year. She taught in the Camden City Schools for 5 years and is delighted to be at CHAD, with its focus on architecture and design. Ms. Garcia wanted to be an architect when she was in high school.

She loves teaching math and figures herself a bit of a risk-taker. This summer she found the ultimate thrill: skydiving! For the first time in her life, she fulfilled her dreams by jumping out of a plane at 12,000 feet.

Her advice to CHAD students: “Dare to take chances! It leads to a fulfilling life!”
