Special Education
Jennifer Starrs, 9th grade special education teacher and tutor, has been a professional artist and an advocate for individuals with disabilities. Ms. Starrs has an Associate Degree in Commercial Art from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh and a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Art from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
For the past 20 years Jennifer has earned a living as a graphic designer and art director for a local Fortune 500 company. In 2009, Ms. Starrs completed a Master’s Degree in Education from Arcadia University. Jennifer holds multiple teaching certifications in English, Math, Art, Special Education and Elementary Education. She lives in northeast Philadelphia with her husband and adult son.
